Prior to beginning her teaching career, she received her MSW from Tulane University. She studied in India with the Himalayan Institute and is registered with Yoga Alliance at 500 hour level, she is also a Certifed TRE® Provider.
Some years ago, my interest in movement led me to NIA, a dance technique, that I’ve been practicing ever since as it’s a wonderful complement to yoga. It has strongly influenced my practice and teaching. Yoga for me is a place and it is about body/mind awareness, community, self-care, balance, listening, giving/receiving – many of the things I value most.
From a young age I’ve enjoyed travel adventures and in the past several years I found a way to combine my interest in travel with my love of movement. When I put those two things together they became European Walking Tours! I’ve just finished organizing my sixth tour and not only do I get to move, explore and discover, I get to do it with old and new friends; I couldn’t have found a more perfect situation. I hope to see you in class, on the road, or maybe both!
